TrulyApart of my heart

Domenic enjoyed life at Rapelje Lodge and ribbing the staff in his own way was a daily occurrence. He often praised the employees’ dedication to the elderly and he was extremely grateful for all their help. His daily routine included a workout in the physiotherapy room with the gang and a property walk to make sure it passed inspection. He then tended to his garden, relaxed with his friends at Amalia’s and then went off to lunch at La Farina. An Atlas Steels employee for over 30 years, he enjoyed gardening, cooking and drinking a good glass of wine.

Our Dad was everything to us.  He cooked for us when we were young.  He followed Vicky and Stella around while playing the accordion.  He followed Mike and Tony around the province playing soccer.  My Dad was happiest watching us grow up.  He did everything with us, not for us.  He taught us to be responsible and independent.  In his later years he followed his many grandchildren throughout their lives.  Yet, primarily he took care of our mother for over 25 years.  I loved the later years of his life.  He became more of a friend.  We enjoyed each other’s company, I will miss my best friend and father.

Love you forever Dad

We will always remember the wine and food we shared together. He was the best cook. We will miss his garden and the care he gave to it; but he cared for his family more than anything. We miss his funny character! His wise advise. His dedication to his children like nothing I have ever witnessed. I am proud to be his daughter and will continue to try and make him proud.

Love you Papa

My dad told me when I was young that the greatest gift a father can give his son is his last name, my grandfather went to great lengths to insure that his children and their children had opportunity and a last name to be proud of… Last night my family lost my grandfather he has moved on to a better place reunited with his wife waiting very patiently for the rest of his family to join him… Love you grandpa Chuck
